PolyU Northern Metropolis Future Forum|Conclusion of Season 2
|
Let's envision the future of Northern Metropolis together and explore new opportunities for the city!
Through the "PolyU Northern Metropolis Future Forum" series, J.C.DISI is advocating for a comprehensive five-pathway "Better Northern Metropolis SoInno Action Framework." Season 2 was hosted this past November with the theme "Where Conservation Meets Prosperity in the Northern Metropolis," focusing on practical pathways of "Ecological Empowerment" and "Experience Empowerment."
It brought together experts from the Government, academia, industry and local charitable/non-profit organisations to explore how to transform the traditionally perceived dichotomy between conservation and development into a mutually beneficial economic model.
Since Season 1 last July, J.C.DISI has successfully launched seven Northern Metropolis SoInno Actions. Season 3, focusing on "Community Empowerment," is scheduled for coming April. Stay tuned for our latest updates!

Shaw STEAMS for Good|Low-altitude Economy (LAE) × Community Design Showcase at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Seaward Woo College
|
STEAM + S – Shaw STEAMS for Good enhances STEAM education by adding "Social" components, encouraging teachers and students to engage with societal issues and apply their knowledge for positive change!
Organised by J.C.DISI and supported by The Shaw Foundation, Shaw STEAMS for Good has adopted the pioneering concept of STEAMS in education. Last December, we hosted the "STEAMS LAE × Community Design Showcase" at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Seaward Woo College. Based on first-hand surveys, students leveraged LAE technology to create community-focused service solutions. They presented their design concepts on a three-dimensional map of To Kwa Wan in the assembly hall, integrating artificial intelligence, mobile devices, AR installations, and LAE.
The event also promoted cross-school collaboration, attracting 110 teachers and students from Shunde Huaqiao Middle School. Participants shared insights and innovative ideas, showcasing the effectiveness of STEAMS education in inspiring creativity and teamwork.

Memory Spectrum | Building an Intergenerational, Dementia‑Friendly Journey in Choi Hung Estate
|
Whether elderly or children, everyone is welcome to join and learn together, and co-build joyful memories of Choi Hung Estate.
J.C.DISI is honoured to be a community partner of HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme 2025. Together with our collaborative partners, such as Community CareAge Foundation and Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service, we are launching the "Memory Spectrum" initiative in Choi Hung Estate. Through this initiative, we aim to co‑create an intergenerational dementia‑friendly community.
Rooted in inclusion and care, the initiative promotes intergenerational interaction through a range of diversified activities. It helps elderly residents recall joyful moments from their lives in Choi Hung Estate, bringing warmth and support as they prepare for the upcoming relocation. Since its launch last September, we have organised a series of activities in Choi Hung Estate, including the "Dementia‑Friendly Relocation Learning Class," "Dementia‑Friendly Community Training" workshops, and Community Tours. These activities bring together local elderly residents and students from CCC Kei Wa Primary School, bridging the gap between generations.
Moving forward, we will continue to roll out various activities to extend this journey of inclusiveness and friendliness!
