I am privileged to meet all of you here as new President of the Association. Working with every valuable member to contribute to PolyU has been a fervent wish of mine. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards the Board of Directors in the last term. During trying times of the pandemic, they continued to lay a solid foundation for the Association and spared no expense to support our alma mater on all fronts.

Inaugurated at a time when Hong Kong is resuming normalcy as COVID-19 recedes, I am especially excited about a new paradigm for the Association. We have had a thirst for occasions that we can reconnect with one another physically. Through our highly engaging events and programmes, I am committed to bringing together more and more members to give back to the University in this post-pandemic era. Of particular focus would be fostering entrepreneurship and engaging the Nation. PolyU has been embracing opportunities brought about by the Greater Bay Area (GBA); by leveraging our expertise, networks and resources, we are going to expand students’ entrepreneurship development not only in Hong Kong, but also in other GBA cities.

Looking ahead, the Association will keep upholding the tradition of excellence. Your participation are of profound importance. For any ideas that help promote the advancement of the Association as well as PolyU, you are most welcome to raise them with us at any time.

在這新一期的會員通訊中，我很榮幸能以會長的身份跟大家見面。我重視每一位會員，冀盼能與各位同心協力，為理大作出貢獻。在此，我衷心感謝上屆董事局成員的不懈付出，在疫情期間仍然無懼困難，為協會鞏固基礎，繼續從多方面支持母校的發展。

承接香港復常之勢，協會即將迎來一番新氣象，剛履新的我心情尤其雀躍。過去三年，大家一直翹首以待，渴望在一個又一個的實體活動中重新聯繫彼此。現在來到後疫情時代，我們終於可以落實多元化的計劃，連結更多會員，為回饋母校獻出更強大的力量。其中，協會將積極輔助大學強化創業培訓，同時致力與祖國接軌。理大長期把握大灣區所帶來的機遇，我們的專業知識、人脈網絡及豐富資源，更能為學生創業提供堅實支援，在香港以至整個大灣區實現夢想。

在持續追求卓越的道路上，我誠意邀請各位就協會及理大的發展提出意見。您的參與，絕對是我們邁步向前的一大動力。
