The 9th CHINA INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPO (CIIE)

The China International Import Expo is a premier national-level trade event hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. While CIIE primarily focuses on connecting global suppliers with Mainland Chinese

importers, it also serves as a platform for fostering international collaboration and market expansion.

This is the first time PolyU will participate in the Hong Kong Service Pavilion, which is organised by HKTDC. Located in the “Trade in Services” Zone, the “Hong Kong Service Pavilion” allow Hong Kong service providers to look for business opportunities, meet with buyers and grasp first-hand market information.

HKTDC Entrepreneur Day (E Day) 2026

Entrepreneur Day (E-Day) is HKTDC’s anchor start-up event. It brings together visionary founders, global investors, industry pioneers and growth enablers on one powerful stage, sparking connections, unlocking opportunity, and transforming ambition into action.

- Artificial Intelligence

- DeepTech

- HealthTech

- GreenTech & Sustainability

KTEO invites PolyU start-ups to showcase their innovative services and products at the PolyU booth during the event. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your professional network, build strategic industry partnerships, and connect directly with potential investors.

Call of Project Submissions

We are now calling for submission of start-ups for CIIE and/or HKTDC Entrepreneur Day 2026. Under the coordination of the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office (KTEO), all research teams and start-ups submissions will undergo a selection process, and selected projects will be featured during the exhibition. Please complete the online application form on or before 11 Sept 2026 (Friday).

Eligibility

PolyU start-ups with a valid Business Registration Certificate (BR)

Remarks:

- Seats are limited. All applications will go through an internal selection process, and selected projects will be featured during the exhibitions;

- Shortlisted teams/start-ups are required to arrange sufficient manpower to manage their booth during the exhibition period.
