OPAA 2021 Award Presentation Ceremony
第十三屆傑出理大校友選舉頒獎典禮
PolyU presented the “Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award 2021” to ten distinguished graduates at the award presentation ceremony on 4 October 2021 at Hotel ICON. More than 100 guests including awardees and their families, proposers, award recipients of past years, senior management and PolyU staff attended the event.
理大於2021年10月4日假唯港薈舉行第十三屆傑出理大校友選舉頒獎典禮，頒發榮譽予十位傑出校友，超過100位嘉賓出席典禮，包括得獎人及其親友、提名人、歷屆傑出理大校友、理大管理層及教職員。
2021/22 Annual General Meeting
2021/22周年大會
On 10 March 2022, 15 Association’s members, representative from the Honorary Auditors, and PolyU representatives joined the Annual General Meeting 2021/22 of the OPAA to receive the President’s Report and Accounts of the Association for the year ended 30 June 2021. At the meeting, the members also adopted the Accounts and re-appointed KPMG to be the Honorary Auditors for the ensuing year. They received updates on PolyU 85th Anniversary celebratory events as well.
2022年3月10日，15位協會會員、名譽審計員代表及理大代表參加「傑出理大校友協會2021/22周年大會」。會員收悉會長報告、通過2020/2021年度財政報告、同意繼續委任畢馬威為協會名譽審計員，並接收理大85周年校慶活動的最新資訊。
OPAA Master Class 2021/22 Speaker Forum on “Art is Life, Life is Art”
傑出理大校友協會大師班2021/22講者論壇「藝術人生兩面觀」
The Association hosted the Mater Class 2021/22 Speaker Forum online successfully on 11 April 2022, attracting over 240 registrations of PolyU students, staff, alumni, as well as mentors and mentees of the INSPIRE Mentorship Programme. The first speaker, Mr Tino Kwan Wing-kuen (OPAA 2021 Awardee), shared his art life adventures spanning across lighting design, photography, music, fashion, cooking and so on, during which he emphasised that passion fuels motivation. The second speaker, Ms Mary Yu Wah (OPAA 2021 Awardee), talked about her entrepreneurial achievements, especially on how she expanded her professional competency in art and design during the pandemic. Moderated by Mr Elton Ng Chun-ting (OPAA 2019 Awardee) and his mentee Mr Henry Guo, the panel discussion drew many questions from participants. They resonated with the speakers that art and life are inseparable; by devoting time and effort and seizing opportunities, we are all capable of being the best artist of our own life.
2022年4月11日，協會於網上舉辦「大師班2021/22講者論壇」，吸引超過240名理大學生、職員、校友及「啟迪智慧師友計劃」的導師和學員報名參加。第一位講者關永權先生 (2021年傑出理大校友) 細述其豐盛人生，憑著對燈光設計、攝影、音樂、時裝、烹飪等的熱愛，他將不同的藝術一一融入生活；第二位講者余嫿女士 (2021年傑出理大校友) 則分享其創業成就，並訴說在疫情期間如何開拓新領域，提升專業技能。問答環節由吳俊霆先生 (2019年傑出理大校友) 及其指導學員郭浩楠先生主持，現場人士積極跟兩位講者交流，探討藝術與生活的緊密關係；透過投入時間、心力，以及把握機遇，我們每位都能夠活出屬於自己的藝術人生。
OPAA UNITE
The signature programme – OPAA UNITE – has received encouraging responses since its launch. As of the first quarter of 2022, a total of 56 members have been engaging in the initiative, offering active support to University Development, Nurturing Students and Fostering Alumni Community, Institutional Advancement and Sustainability, Technological Advancement and Knowledge Transfer, as well as Enhanced Internationalisation and Engaging the Nation.
協會的重點項目 ── OPAA UNITE自推出以來獲得廣泛支持。截至2022年首季，共有56名會員參與其中，就大學發展、培育學生及聯繫校友、學院發展及持續性、技術提升及知識轉移、與祖國及世界接軌五方面回饋母校。 |

| I hope all of you are doing well in the fifth wave of COVID-19. While we are going to resume the transition toward normalcy with the government relaxing social distancing measures,I am particularly glad to e-meet you here on our newly revamped website which gives a brand new look and feel, as well as features our members’ contributions to PolyU and society through the dynamic and sustainable impact of OPAA UNITE.
Despite the pandemic, our outstanding alumni have continued to give their ceaseless support to the alma mater. These efforts include donating anti-epidemic medical supplies to faculty members, giving informative talks to students, and establishing endowed scholarships that facilitate technology advancement and knowledge transfer. As the year-long series of PolyU’s 85th Anniversary celebratory activities emphasise the homecoming of alumni, I am sure you and your loved ones would join the celebrations ahead and share the joyous occasions together.
Last but not least, thank you all OPAA members for the valuable contributions to the Association and the University. Stay safe and healthy!
首先祝願各位安然度過第五波疫情。隨著政府放寬社交距離措施，我們逐漸恢復正常生活之時，我非常高興能於全面翻新的協會網站跟大家見面。新網頁設計煥然一新，並突顯本會會員透過OPAA UNITE對理大以至社會的貢獻。
儘管疫情嚴峻，但一眾傑出校友仍然從多方面不懈支持母校，包括捐贈抗疫醫療物資、主講講座與學生分享經驗，以及成立勵學青年學者席，強化技術提升及知識轉移。理大一連串的八十五周年校慶活動亦已展開，相信定能於各項焦點盛事跟大家聚首一堂，同心慶賀母校多年來的卓越成就。
